Beth Moore Bible Study

On Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at 6:30 p.m., the Women's Wednesday Evening Bible Study Group of First Presbyterian Church will begin a new study.
First Presbyterian Beth Moore brings her dynamic teaching and passion for God's Word to her long-awaited study The Patriarchs: Encountering the
God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.  Taken primarily from Genesis, Chapters 12-50, Beth provides fascinating details from the lives of the patriarchs.
She explores important concepts such as blessing, covenant, and promise, and how they forever shaped the lives of Abraham and his descendants and New
Testament believer's life today.  Group members will also explore the Hebrew names of God introduced on the early pages of Scripture.  Full of
twists and turns, ruin and redemption, revelation and mystery, this study of Genesis 12-50 keeps participants captivated by the God who stars in it!
Throughout 10 weeks of exciting, engaging intrigue, participants will plunge into the heart of Genesis, to God's remarkable pursuit of relationship and to
the unfolding of His earthly plan: that through one nation - and ultimately, one man - all people on earth will be blessed.  Many of the most profound
and enduring concepts in the whole counsel of God's Word are initiated in this marvelous book of beginnings.  The Patriarchs gives participants the
opportunity to see a perfect and holy God endure in His relationship to man, whether man is at his best or at his weakest. (11 sessions)  Please
join us for this study, or feel free to drop in on any lesson beginning September 7th.  Members books will be $14.95 and available at the first session.
